Huda restaurant is inspired by the culinary heritage and culture of the levant region of the eastern Mediterranean. A reductive approach to design, the architecture of the space recedes allowing new-levantine interpretations of ancient dishes to feature prominently. An homage to levantine architecture, which characteristically lays bare the the story of it’s places, Huda’s restrained palette tells the history of its building, using thinly applied plasters and mottled paints to reveal existing detail and character. The deep textures convey a temporal depth, paired with a quiet refinement of warm wood banquets, vintage chairs, and glints of metal light fixtures, defining a new-levantine approach to hospitality.
